Summer is sadly tailing off, and I'm back with another look that I was super excited to share! This one is simple, as I didn't focus on accessories or layering. I wanted all the attention to be on this romper, because I think it's amazing! Not only is it black (favorite, as you probably can tell by now), but the bell sleeves make it 70's feeling with a little bit of witchy flair as well. The 70's trend has been raging on, and I have been steering far away from it if I'm being honest - something about peasant tops and bell bottoms makes me cringe, especially on me. I see those things as cyclical trend pieces that would only take up space in my closet, and not items that would get a lot of wear or see the light of day very often. This piece, however, I could not ignore!

Of course, the best part of this romper has to be the lace-up detail in the middle, which is its most defining feature. If you pay attention to trends while shopping around or just in general, you'll have noticed by now that this has been a huge detail for many retailers and designers toward the end of summer. It has a bohemian feel, but can easily be translated into a night look. I'm not usually one to wear more risqué pieces regularly, and I wouldn't consider this extremely scandalous, but as someone who usually drowns themselves in their clothes I particularly love this romper because it allows me to feel girly and kinda spicy all at once!

When paired with the right shoe, makeup, and hair, this can easily go into a nighttime look. I kept everything pretty neutral and simple on my part so I could wear this out in the day. I think I'll definitely be taking this romper into fall and pair it with a good pair of combat boots to toughen it up. The material is soft and comfortable, and it cinches at the waist for a flattering silhouette but also skims over the figure in general. I can't say enough good things about this! If you love it as much as I do, hurry and grab one while you can! I'm all about functionality, and what's better than a romper? You just throw it on, and there you go - a whole outfit. Amazing for days when you don't know what to piece together, or you're just feeling lazy.

As usual everything is linked above! Let me know if you guys would wear something as simple and laid back as this in the comments, and I'll see you in the next one!

  1. Love all of the lace ups in this look! So chic -- I usually don't like all black for summer but this really is perfect!
