I'm back, and better than ever! I have been waiting a while to do a post like this, let me tell you - as soon as the 70's flare and wide leg pants trend came back in for this spring and summer, I've been itching to get my hands on a pair. As a short girl, I'm not going to lie I was quite put off and intimidated because I already drown in so many silhouettes. In my mind, a pair of wide leg pants would totally swallow me and make me look ridiculous. However, I have previously said that if you love something, you should try it regardless of your height and shape - there is a way to make everything work! In my case, it was a pair of 4-5 inch heels. Another thing that made this look work for me was the fact that the pants are extremely high waisted, which I emphasized by tucking my cami in.

Aren't these pants something else? I love the pattern and the colors on this, as I am really still digging anything navy and cream for the season. The gold accent is just the icing on top of the cake! To keep the silhouette light and breezy, I paired the pants with a cami, which let me breathe a little as the weather is now reaching the high 90's. Kill me now. I kept accessories minimal as usual, and lately I've been touting around a backpack for convenience and have been loving the tomboy edge it gives to my looks. I am on the hunt for a newer one however, as this one has reached its expiration date in terms of the shape it's in.

I hope you guys like this post! I feel I am channeling some Solange Knowles with this look, which was the goal as her style is clean, effortless, and has still the right amount of funk injected into it. I'm definitely hoping to be able to experiment more with cool patterns and colors, so keep your eyes peeled for some of that in the next one! I did my best to link everything, so if the links are not exact they are as close as I could get them. Happy shopping, loves, and let me know what you think of this entry below.
