FEST

LACE CARDI - URBAN OUTFITTERS
SHOES - ZARA
HAT - MINT VIA URBAN OUTFITTERS
NECKLACE - URBAN OUTFITTERS

Ah yes, it's that time of year again... Coachella. One word that can send hundreds of people (including me) into a spiraling depression, because they unfortunately cannot attend. Oh, to be a part of that super cool and fashionable crowd, twirling around in the desert and listening to the best music in one place. It seems like such a dream, yet some people are lucky enough to attend, some every year! I keep telling myself that will be me one day, so to keep the hope alive I thought I'd do a little festival look for the first weekend of Coachella. I'm not quite sure what I would end up wearing if I was actually there, but this outfit was inspired by more of a laid back, simplistic approach. I know many people take fashion risks and really go all out with the face painting and feathers and stuff, but cultural appropriation aside I think that's a bit too over the top for me. If you feel the same way, then read on to learn more about this look!

When I saw this tank top at H&M, I literally picked it up and purchased it. There was no thought process at all. It's just really cool, and even if you're feeling like your life is more #workchella than Coachella, this tank still makes you feel like you're a part of it. It's simple but eye-catching, and I think it goes well with a pair of blue jeans, which is what I paired it with. For that extra festival feel, I just threw on this lace cardigan that I bought from UO sometime last year, in the sale. It's one of those pieces that doesn't get heavy use in my wardrobe, but it should be seeing the light of day more as we head into spring. I just kept my accessories simple, choosing that necklace to tie in the monochrome feeling. You can never go wrong with a trusty hat during festival season, and some nice boots with some detailing that you wouldn't mind getting messy.

Let me know what you think of this look! I tried to link as much as I could, as a lot of this post is full of older pieces. Happy shopping, and I hope this brings you some festival vibes wherever you are! Coachella or Nochella, we can all channel a little desert party.
