I hope everyone's all well! Long time no post, I know... part of it is due to a bit of business this month, and the other half is my sheer laziness brought on by the cold weather. Every day after work I just want to jump into bed and stay under the covers forever, which is kind of what I've been doing. This post was shot ages ago when temperatures weren't so bitter, but I will admit I neglected to post it until now. I think this one might be a bit chatty, as I haven't written in so long, so bear with me!

When I saw this jumpsuit at work, I knew I wanted it eventually. I just waited patiently, as I do, for it to come down in price. Whilst I was waiting, I started playing around in my head about how I could wear this. I watched plenty of girls come in and try it on for New Year's Eve and other such events, but I knew this piece would not be in the "going out" category for me. I wanted to find a way to put an ironic twist on it, and play it down to make it more wearable in the daytime. It's so versatile that it should be able to be worn all the time, not just on nights out! When I saw this boyfriend-style blazer came down in the sale as well, it struck me - I could pair these two together with a pair of sneakers and have a really androgynous, effortless looking combination.

I tried them both on together once I mad the purchase, and I've been obsessed ever since. I can't stress to you enough how versatile both these pieces are! The blazer is good for just about anything - throwing it on over a turtleneck, a dress, or a business casual ensemble to lend you some sharpness. The shape of it also gives it a boyish charm, which I can't get enough of. This jumpsuit has a flattering neckline for women of all shapes, and like I mentioned above it can be worn on a night out with a pair of strappy heels and a gorgeous statement necklace. I'm trying to buy smarter pieces for my wardrobe that can be worn in multiple ways, so I'm pretty happy about this look! I rooted around in my closet for the bag, which is a fun color and texture and lent a bit of playfulness to the ensemble. I've linked the blazer above as well as the jumpsuit, but it seems to have sold out in this particular color and cut - the link above is to the red version, while mine is (obviously) black and made in petite sizing.

Lately I've been investing in taking care of myself and my body, which means putting good foods into my system and making sure my skin, teeth, and nails are doing well. This goes for my hair as well, and sadly this is one part of me that I've neglected and abused for far too long. I've pretty much damaged my natural curly texture severely, so much so that it's struggling to curl. I'm glad I caught it when I did, but for now on I won't be using heat as much in an attempt to revive it. I've cut off most of the heat-damaged parts, but I'm not going to touch a straightener for a long time! You guys will be seeing my hair in more updos/buns/creative styles, but I'm afraid with this post I must bid adieu to the straight looks. I just wanted to share this with you guys as you come along with me on my journey!

Let me know how you would wear this jumpsuit, and I'll see you soon for the next post.
